Whenever the phone rings, Mother of Kin worries anxiously, afraid that her son, Kin, might be causing trouble outside. Since Kin graduated from vocational school, mother of Kin has been living in fear and anxiety.

Kin is a young man in his thirties. After graduating from school, he found a job as a courier. However, the company closed down after three years, leaving him unemployed. His mother, worried for him, found him another job at a lunchbox company, but he didn’t enjoy it and soon quit.

Kin is someone who loves to be out and about and doesn’t often stay at home. However, without a job and a stable place to stay, he spent his days wandering around different stores. Sometimes he fell victim to scams or got into arguments with people, and every time his mother received a phone call, she had to rush out to deal with the situation. Whenever Kin wasn’t around, his mother would start feeling restless.

It wasn’t until Kin started working at the Caritas Greenliving that his life began to stabilize. Kin regularly came to the Green Life Space every week to work as an intern shop assistant, completing courses on store operations and customer service. He also attended various sales events in different areas on weekends. His social skills gradually improved, learning how to interact politely with others, gaining confidence in expressing himself, reducing chances of disputes, and even making good friends.

He found a place where he felt belonged, finally having a stable place to stay. This sense of belonging made him more proactive at work, enthusiastically introducing products to customers and taking care of store affairs. Eventually, when Kin got ready to leave the house in the morning, his mother felt reassured because she knew Kin now had a place where he could feel safe and settled.

After two years of training, besides working as a shop assistant and salesperson, Kin challenged himself to learn about aromatherapy. In August 2024, he even obtained a certificate in aromatherapy (Level 1), mastering the skills to make diffuser stones with aromatherapy, creating various pieces including popular ones like the panda family and floral designs. To further refine his skills, Kin started conducting workshops on making aromatherapy diffuser stones, teaching service users in rehabilitation units. Moving forward, Kin aims to continue using scents to showcase his dedication and effort in crafts, establishing a casual doorway to connect with the public.
